Spica - Fixed Star Talisman
Spica - Fixed Star Astrological Talisman
"Under the Spike they made the image of a bird, or of a man laiden with merchandise; it conferreth riches, and maketh one overcome contentions, it taketh away scarcity and mischeif." -Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa, Three Books of Occult Philosophy, Book II Chapter IXVII
Modeled in hard carvers wax, and cast in 20/80 electrum [alloy of gold and fine silver], with calcined salts of sage, mandrake, and mugwort/wormwood. The image of the talisman is that of a 'celestial bird'; a composite creature drawing upon various birds of paradise. Above and below the image are engraved the medieval glyphs of Spica via Liber Hermetis (above), and Agrippa (below). Set in the center is a 1.5 carat Emerald; the precious gem under the rulership of Spica according to traditional sources.
The Spica Talisman was cast on April 25th, 2021, at 12:14 AM EST; with the moon on the midheaven, conjunct the fixed star Spica within two degrees. The pouring of the talisman was accompanied by petition and suffumigation of sage.
"[Spica] to increases gold, accumulate riche, bring victory in lawsuits, and free men from evil and anguish." -Liber Hermetis, 'Hermes on the 15 Fixed Stars'
The Spica Talisman includes a 20" sterling silver chain, and arrives in a black leatherette pendant box.
